Xmas Cards from Interviewers...paranoid?!

We visited 8 schools and when we were done, we had narrowed it down to five. As of today, my daughter has received 4 Christmas cards from her interviewers...three from the schools that we'd eliminated, and one from the school we're thinking of as a safety. Does this mean that she's not on the top of the heap at her top three schools?! Has anyone else been thinking about this?

No. At least I don't think so. Some schools send christmas cards, some send a letter from the heads of some department, like music and art (automatic list) some interviewers send post cards. Some schools just don't because they have loads of people applying.

You're being paranoid. Different schools do different things. Relax and don't overthink every little piece of mail that you get or you'll worry yourself sick until March 10th.

I've gotten some very friendly letters from many schools as well, but my guess is that they are very generic. I think some schools just have a policy to send them out, and some do not. I wouldn't worry about it. Most of the ones I've received are exceptionally kind, but you can tell there is a pre-written format.

Dear ,
Have wonderful holidays, I hope you enjoyed visiting _. I really had a good time discussing _
____ with you. Have fun,
________.

I was really pleased that they took the time to write them out, but I'm not stressing over some interviewers not doing so. :D Hope that helped!

Schools either send everyone a card or send no one a card. I got two format and one hand written personal card. The hand written was really great... It has influenced my decision and they have moved up on my list by a few spots.

none of the schools I'm applying for (except for one, who sent me an ecard saying that they were glad I was applying to their school, etc.) sent me cards, ecard, hand written cards, letters, nothing. Never heard from my interviewers after the interviews...

I only received one which was my top choice, but the others, I haven't probably because I'm interviewing them today and I haven't turned in any applications.

I received quite a number of emails and cards from 5 of 7 of the schools I'm applying to, I didn't look too much into any of them and responded light heartedly to everyone. It was rather a coincidence that some of the schools where I thought I didn't interview as well didn't send me a thing or respond to my emails. Then again I'm not too bothered by it since there's tons of people applying.

No cards or e-mails or handwritten stuff means anything. No matter how personal it may sound.

So if they were to say: "You are accepted" It would mean nothing?

Sorry had to do it ;) happy holidays

Well I haven't even sent in my apps yet so probably lol.
