Why do you keep bumping this? Your stats are amazing. You have a perfect resume. Many people have said this.
A good candidate for dual enrollment at Harvard and Stanford, I think.
lol NickFlynn, and sorry grenntealover I forgot by replying to posts Im bumping this thread as well. Ill stop now.
There are probably less than 100 kids every year with your academic credentials and i’m inclined to believe that number is not more than about 25. Considering this is college confidential, even if you were Asian, it’s much more likely that you’d be lying than actually have stats this good.
Not racism, just the nature of the forum itself.
I know a lot of Harvard graduates (and other top Ivies e.g. Columbia), and none of them express themselves with your tone - be it online or in real life. I also find it quite difficult to believe than you jumped from a 2100 to a 2400. But that’s beside the point. Fix your grammatical errors and your spelling. I’m serious about that. You could have the talent and intelligence of Einstein, but attitude (gosh, lol, etc.) will put up a facade of insincerity that most will believe to be truth. One of my pet peeve about modern teenage culture, even though I’m a teenager. You don’t have to listen to my opinion, but this is just my $.02.
*peeves
lol if you don’t get in then who will
Oh jeez… It seems to me that your profile is impeccable! Almost too impeccable! Every human has flaws but I don’t see yours! You have perfect scores, perfect GPA, perfect ECs, and you’re in varsity sports. Like… HOW??
I think you should reveal some of your flaws in your personal statement. Maybe instead of further talking about all your accomplishments, talk about how you matured your personality and imperfections. Because colleges, however elite, want REAL people. And now you’re just too amazing to be real haha!
Good luck anyways! And btw don’t get upset because some idiots are saying your stats are fake. They can’t do it and they think no one else can.
I’m sure you’ll get accepted! Enjoy Harvard Med School!
I thought we were done with this thread. @SomedayIwill umm…okay. I’ll stop saying lol ,gosh ,etc. and fix my grammar, although I already pointed out that writing on the internet and writing formally are two different things. Also I don’t know what you mean that I can’t jump from a 2100 to a 2400. Theres a video online that literally talks about a guy who started with a 1700 and ended up with a 2400. Have you taken the SAT before? 1st time is always the hardest due to stress. @currentlycrying Thank you. @tina23 Don’t worry I have flaws. My GPA may seem perfect but thats because of my schools grading system. Also, I don’t know why people didn’t notice this, I don’t have many leadership spots. In fact I have none. This is why I started this discussion in the first place. My interviewer told me point blank that Harvard adcoms don’t care that much about research but more on leadership.
^^^How did you get an interview, if you haven’t applied yet?
Ive applied @arwarw . I wanted to know where I stand among applicants. Sorry for the confusion. Ive been told I can’t say lol, so instead “laugh out loud arwarw”
@HarvardDream101 - Just an FYI: After you’ve applied, it will take several weeks (at best) before an alumnus or alumna will contact you to schedule an interview.
@arwarw not in my area. My friends and I have been receiving interviews already. Where do you live? Wait, don’t answer that. Confidentiality issues. Anyways, I think there are more alumnus and alumna in my district, so thats maybe why. Mind you I’ve applied some time before, but not as early admission.
Oh, ok, whatever. You said you needed input BEFORE applying, and you’re asking questions about what to include (or not) in your application, so…
"wanted to know were I stand among applicants. " That was my question
idk if it’s too late (i’m not a senior), but you should really consider some combined med programs… the chances of making those look high for u too!
@neophit I actually have. I’ve applied to the Brown Dual Med Program. Also looking forward to that as well.
Umm… your questions included:
CC members were kind enough to answer you questions, but now you’re telling us you’ve already applied some time ago - long enough ago that you’ve already been interviewed.
Nevertheless, if you wish to know where you stand among Harvard applicants, read the past results threads of accepted students and pay particular attention to their general comments. Stats vary, but most successful applicants communicate well - even informally.
The question was posed if the OP does not get into Harvard who will?
Someone who actually exists, with a real profile and a submitted application.
@ClarinetDad16 you remind me of @NYDad513 . Don’t know why though.
