Yahoo Mail frustrations....

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

Why the hell does this happen? I set my computer to remember my email and password BTW.

i know that happens ALL the time fr me

usually if i play around with it
(click sign in with a different user, and reenter my screenname) it works

when that doesnt work, i click that button that says "Problem with siging in?"

if THAT doesnt work, i click the button that says something like "Connects over SSL"

This is the reason why I don't use anything but Gmail.

NintyFresh, you should not base your email decisions on two random users' experiences. Yahoo was the first email I've ever used in my life, and continues to work superb. I've had that problem maybe once in my entire 6 years of use. However, everyone has their personal preferences, but still, Yahoo is not entirely awful.

I've used Yahoo for years and that's only happened once also. Just do what it says: refresh a few times. The one time it happened, it only delayed my email-checking by about 30 seconds.

I've used yahoo mail for years and have never encountered any problem of that sort....

Yes, same here. Six years.

The problem that I have is when they say that my Javascript is not enabled (but it is!). I have to revert to the older Yahoo! mail version (the plain one) to get rid of this script error. If anyone knows has to get rid of this (I've tried Internet Options and made sure that everything is in place), please let me know. Thanks!

Stop using Internet Explorer.

Was that directed at me? I haven't used IE for the past three years. I use the SBC Yahoo! Browser. Yet, there is always that script error appearing when I'm checking my e-mail. Ironic, huh?

I'm sensing an argument here. Everyone needs to grow the hell up. I only posted this thread to ask a question, not so that you can argue the "big topic": Gmail vs. Yahoo.

ihateCA, that was an unnecessary and quite lewd comment. Posters are attempting to help others with a problem, and because no one mentioned your problem save a few times, you assume we are arguing about which email provider to use, from where, I cannot state. I must say, ever since I entered the forum a few days ago, users tend to be very argumentative and harsh toward others. I was simply stating that NintyFresh should not claim that your problem is a valid reason not to use Yahoo, a fine internet email provider. I've also tended to notice users with the word "hate" in their username are unnecessarily rude, lewd, and crude. Please do not label such innocent posts as an "argument" with everyone needing to "grow the hell up".

Thanks doll ;)

OK, I haven't been reading for awhile and I thought you were arguing and I thought this thread was going out of control. I'm sorry.

Carry on.

I know that yahoo mail and McAfee Internet Security don't get along on my laptop. I had to completely disable SpamKiller and the anti-phishing utilities because yahoo would slow down to a crawl.

I can't function without my e-mail and have invested too much to ever give up on yahoo!

Hey, all email providers have their share of problems, I'm sure. Yahoo! Mail has been great to me for years.

To OP: If Yahoo! Mail doesn't work well for you, try another email provider such as gmail. :)

I don't know what's going on with yahoo, but the problem stopped.

YAAAAY =) My problem stopped too! I think I know what went wrong in my case. All I did was delete the cookies and erase the history. Now, there's no script error! Wee!
