I have just discovered Yahoo messenger and its boss!!!
They have in int.phone, photo messaging it bloody amazin'....apart from cc of course!LOL!!

but here in america most people use AIM. so before you come to the US you should probably get one.

oh and we don't say "its boss" if your trying to say "its awesome." you can say: awesome, sweet, amazing, cool...etc

Whats that like and how would I register.
And excuse me, but I happen to think alot of things are boss! :-)

Almost everybody I know uses MSN Messenger.

everyone I know uses aim, but it just depends. I'd say have msn, aim, or both :)

Canada- MSN
America- AIM 90%/MSN 10%
Other: Yahoo, ICQ

I used to live in Iran until a few years ago, and EVERYONE used Yahoo Messenger (well, that is for people who had computers and internet connection). Then I moved to US and not a single person uses Yahoo. I was forced to switch to the crappy AIM.

Seriously, AIM is immensely inferior to Yahoo. I wish I could switch back to Yahoo Messenger.

I think Yahoo! is general in used by a more mature audience.

I've always had yahoo or msn. I've tried aim a few times but I just hate it, besides none of my friends have it.

Keep saying 'it's boss' too. People will understand what you mean, and it makes you seem unique.

i love british people.....and yea...i agree wit kammie...say what u want cuz its cool

I have cousins who live in Iran and they all use yahoo messenger. which is really annoying cause i only sign onto yahoo messenger for email updates(i use AIM), and then they IM me on that account. what's worse, is they IM me at really odd hours cause the time difference.

everyone I know uses AIM

if you know people who use both you can just get one of those programs that combines them all.

it would be cool to take an international survey and see what's the most popular

i like yahoo messenger more. AIM sux but it's popular in the US and i have to use it cuz all friends use it. I still use yahoo messenger to talk to foreign friends.

I agree that Yahoo! Messenger blows AIM out of the water, but it takes forever to load on dialup, and I have been using AOL's regular service for so long, I don't want to lose my e-mail address.

aims protocol is not so good if you want all of the goodies but for basic chat, it cant be beat (although when they absorbed ICQ I wish they would have kept offline messaging). The other features on most are just bloat for 90% of the people using them.

Personally I recommend that everyone get GAIM ( http://gaim.sourceforge.net ) which is free and open source and will let you chat on ALL of the possible systems in one single program. It has skins to fit in in with windows just fine and has many great features like tabbed messaging (control your chats, keep them all in one window or if you have lots, in a couple windows).

Cool! How would I register for AIM then?
As mush a I love Yahoo I have no friends on it :'-( they use msn but thats too complicated.....I'm quite a simpleton when it comes to tech.

go to www.aim.com, a page will pop-up and you'll see near the middle it says download now, click it and just follow the instructions

lol, MSN is just as simple if not more simple than Yahoo.

I've never really seen what's so great about Yahoo... meh.
