Yale 2014 EA Pledge Thread

my school’s val applied to yale last year and got rejected. HAHAHAH

^lol you’re so evil.

her scores sucked and she was a stupid *****

I do agree that it’s a horrible waste of a Rank 1 if you’re going to ruin it with bad SATs.

=]]]]]] sure was

Pigs’s comment just reminded me that almost every year the top few from my school applied to Yale, and every year everybody got rejected. Mm, not a comforting thought.

I love how this is supposed to be the pledge thread and we went completely off-topic:)

WOW 130 kids from your school were qualified to apply SCEA to stanford??

Everybody’s qualified to apply. That doesn’t mean they’ll get in.

Wait, you have to be “qualified” to apply?

@pigs- ouchhh. how could she be 1st if she was that stupid? at my school all top 10 have over 2100 at least

Rank is a matter of how well you make your schedule, not how smart you are.

soo trueeee

Does anyone know if we get the mailed decisions on the 15th or if they send them out on the 15th (or if its even possible to make sure mail gets here on the 15th)?

They say they’re released the 15th, so I’d assume that’s the day they’re mailed? If they arrived that day then there’d be no reason for everyone to flood the website like they do every year.

I just hope they like my music supplement, 'cause that’s really the main thing I’m hoping will distinguish me. That and my music ECs and awards. Yale is so great because music majors have a ton of access to the grad school of music, while still having access to the wide variety of other course offers at Yale college. There are very few schools that offer a conservatory level music program and that kind of academic flexibility, so I’m really crossing my fingers on getting in. Plus, if I get in EA, I don’t have to do my music auditions at my other schools…which would be amazing since as of right now I have no idea how I’m going to pay for transport/hotel rooms for my auditions…

i hope you guys aren’t as arrogant as you sound through your posts =[

Why do people sound arrogant?

well yeah, the scheduling will differentiate, say, the top 5. but you have to be smart enough to be in that top tier in the first place.
