Let's get to know each other while we wait for results! :) I'm a female from SoCal, applied as an American Studies major, and am an aspiring screenwriter/TV show runner/film director. How about you guys?

Male from New England, hoping to major in econ. where else is everybody applying?

Princeton, Stanford, Northwestern, USC Screenwriting, UCLA, UC Berkeley, UC Davis (already accepted), and Loyola Marymount. How about you? :)

Male from the Mid-Atlantic - lookin to double major in econ/phil and I’m applying to Penn State (already accepted), UPitt (already accepted w/ full tuition), UMichigan (already accepted), Boston U, Duke, Harvard, Wash U, UChicago, and obviously Yale :P.

Very nice list! Do you have a first choice?

Harvard, UChicago, and Yale are basically all tied for my first choice, but, of course, I’ll be lucky to get into even one of them :(. Honestly, I don’t know what I’d do if I got accepted to all of them lol. What’s your first choice?

Same with me; I don’t have a clear first choice. There are many things about all my top choices that I absolutely love, so I just want to wait and see where I was accepted, then decide! :)

I applied to Yale, Brown, UMO (accepted), UVM (accepted), Macalester, U.Chicago, NYU, Bowdoin

Yale, swarthmore, and hopkins are a 3-way tie for my first choice. Of course, I would say that yale is definitely my clear #1, but…I don’t want to get my hopes up :/

Yale and Princeton are tied for me; though I think I’d probably choose Yale in the end, haha.

^Don’t let the Princeton admissions officers read that!! ;)

Well, I guess I fit in with my screenname.

I’m also applying to Stanford, Princeton, Vanderbilt, Wash. U at St. Louis, Georgetown, Columbia, and I already got in at U of A and ASU- Barrett’s Honors. My parents want me to apply to Harvard for some reason, but it just doesn’t seem right for me.

hey guys! :)

my list in order of preference: yale, harvard, princeton, upenn wharton, columbia, duke, brown, williams, georgetown, NYU stern, UVA

good luck!

Sup guys. Applying to most of the schools listed in this thread. Yale isn’t my top choice but I sure would like to attend!

Same dealio here. Just thought I’d say hello! My interview was a few weeks ago. How much do they count?

I’m a current Yale student, if you guys have any questions, feel free to ask. Good luck!

Yalie2011 - Did you do an interview? And how important to you think it was? I think it’s nice of you to help possible Yale students. Thanks!

Sorry that this is random but I want to know if someone knows because I’m still kinda freaking out about it…so I’m not in the top 10% of my class - My Weighted GPA is .02 away from the mark for top 10% >_>, but my B’s were all >92% and my one C (I know…ouch) was an 83.5% (my school does 92.5-100 as being an A and 84.5-92.4 as being a B) and the percents are on my application. Does anyone know if they’ll consider me as just having A-'s or B-'s in those classes and if they’ll consider me in the top 10% of my class because my GPA is so close to the top 10% mark and I have some B’s that were so close to being A’s? Thanks in advance :)

@Anonymous- my interview went amazingly (2+ hours) and i still got deferred so…yah
