First I would like to thank you for taking the time to read my post. I really want you to be as blunt as you can and tell me were I can improve so I can have the best possible chance of admission!

GPA: 4.08 (Weighted)
AP Classes Taken: 18
SAT: 1410

Honor Societies:

National Honor Society (General Member)
National English Honor Society (President, 2 term)
National Art Honor Society (President, 2 term)
Science National Honor Society (President, 2 term)
Quill and Scroll (Editor and Chief, 1 term)
Rho Kappa (President, 2 terms)
National Forensics League (President, 2 terms)

Is your SAT out of 1600 or 2400? What’s your unweighted GPA? What’s your class rank? What do you mean by “Recommendations available”? Have you taken Subject Tests?

^No. Also, grandparents don’t count as legacies, it has to be a parent. Your grandmother’s affiliation with Yale can only help if she’s donated tens of thousands of dollars or more to Yale.

I think it is possible with a lot of time and effort. Make use of this year and improve your test scores, extracurriculars, and academics. Best of luck, 2015 :)

I’ve taken most of them on FLVS, when I could not take them in class. At the present I am enrolled in 10. There were four in 9th and four in 10th.

Then could you tell me why on the Yale Ap. it states “have your parents, or GRANDPARENTS attended Yale?” clearly they take this into consideration.

SAT II scores won’t count for college admission after the class of 2011 which is me unfortunately… and he’s 2015 so he’s going to have an easier time than me.

Ha Ha. No, honor societies donate their time and efforts to better the present educational system. We do community projects, school projects, International aid projects. I believe that being selected to be a member of these Honor Societies is a way to help those in need. I enjoy all of them.

Oh, well good for me then. I get to be one of the few, the proud, the brave who scored a 1600 twice.

And so what is the difference between, say, NHS and NEHS? NHS sends the underprivileged food and blankets and NEHS sends the underprivileged… Joyce?
