I still have not received my Eli Account, is that normal??

Please people, read the website about Eli accounts, it can take up to 3 weeks.

Chances are, if you have not received your Eli account yet, it is in your junk mail, or it’s in your inbox and you missed it. If you don’t receive it by the 15th, you’re allowed to contact them (this date is given on the website). Search your email for “Yale” or “Eli.” Someone had also said you can retrieve your pin on the website somewhere…? I’ve not looked at this or confirmed this, so I’m not positive…

I submitted November 2nd in the morning and I received my Eli account over a week ago, so I am guessing they were able to get to everyone’s accounts by then.

As for interviews: It depends on the person - I’ve most commonly heard of people receiving the invitation by phone; however a lot of people also receive the invitation by email. I suggest telling your mother not to delete any further messages… Chances are (maybe) they would try to contact twice (my mother picked up the phone while I was not there, and while I called back and left a message, he emailed me and I missed the email. A few days later, he called me back). If you don’t get an interview, it doesn’t hurt your application.

Okay I sent my scores at the end of October including the November subject test I took, yet none of my scores are showing up on my Eli Account… do I just have to wait? Or will Collegeboard not send my scores until after the November test date or something O_o

I have an alumni interview soon, and I was wondering whether it would help or hurt me to bring my art portfolio along. I read that it wasn’t preferable by some and preferable by others, so I’m not sure. The portfolio itself is pretty big (I mean, it’s about 20" X 30"), and I figured I’d bring it “just in case” but… Suggestions?

I just had my interview this afternoon. I feel kind of ambivalent about it; it was my first interview, and I think I did pretty well given my inexperience. However, there were definitely some questions that I had to pause and think about. I brought a copy of my resume, and she gladly took it before we started the interview.

I’m just glad it’s over, so I don’t have to worry anymore about any part of the Yale app… the waiting officially begins.

Okay well I guess all of my scores won’t be sent until after my November scores are available… does this mean I’m screwed and should order a rush report or am I okay D: Better call tomorrow morning

Just got emailed about an interview!!! I had given up hope because they said only about 75% of applicants in my area were interviewed last year and I had submitted on the 31st so I thought I had missed it. I think it finally just sunk in that this is happening.

Good luck everyone!!!

@youwrotethis - actually, November SAT scores are the last ones that Yale accepts and the last ones that will be able to make it in to them on time for a SCEA decision. You should be fine.

^ Yeah that’s what I understood after reading the website, thanks though! Well guess I gotta wait for an interview email/call now >.>

Is there any way to find out if you’ve been assigned an interviewer before they contact you? Several of my friends have already had their interviews, but I have not been contacted and I would really like to have an interview.

Has anyone from San Antonio, Texas had an interview? I haven’t and I feel it would definitely help.

Sent from my T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide using CC App

Anyone from Toronto or anywhere in Canada got a interview from Yale yet??
Good luck to everyone! :)

i haven’t gotten a call or email for interview yet, and i know a few other people from my school have already been contacted and have already gone through with it AH

4 weeks til we find out guys… Best of luck!!!

Yes good luck to everyone.
I thought the time would drag, but the last two weeks have flown by. December 15 will be here before we know it-for better or for worse!

I still have not been contacted for an interview. :(

Sooooo…The Game is tomorrow! Boola Boola, Eli Yale! .D
Seriously, I am probably the least sporty person in the world and even less interested in watching sport, especially one that I’ve never really seen before (good old Europe).
So, how about you guys? Would you be out there with your faces painted blue shouting at the top of your voices, or just learning about the result online afterwards? Because I really don’t know about myself…

UM32194- Check your spam folder. If nothing, I would guess you are not getting anything because the evaluations are due like December 1 (or at least Harvard’s are). Lots of students still get in without them and the admissions office claims they have no effect.

JanaCZ- I would definitely be at the game. My high school is amazing at football and our cheering section is huge at almost every football game. Although I am excited to go to a school that isn’t known almost entirely for its athletics, I still want to have the amazing school spirit at least sometimes.
