Thanks, that’s very reassuring to here!
Not to offend anyone, but can we stop speculating about the portal at least for a little while? There’s a week and a half left before decisions come out, and worrying about things like this gets people unnecessarily anxious and doesn’t really help anything.
I can’t login, either. No worries. It definitely doesn’t mean anything that we can’t access it.
My takeaway, after dozens of posts, is that the portal is working the way that it’s supposed to work.
Relax. You’re all stressed, and that’s understandable, but go for a run, or play some hoops, or play a video game, or work on your HS classes so that you don’t post later asking whether you’ll get rescinded for a B :))
@luck2017 Pomona College had the same issue a few days ago. Don’t worry it’s just a technology issue. Good luck!
What exactly is that link for? I am a RD applicant and was unable to log into that link, but was able to log into the link off of the admission’s website.
@ILoveStanford your 1st choice doesn’t happen to be stanford does it… :>
When you say you can login to the portal, is it that specific link or is it the link to the portal off of the admissions website? I noticed the two links are different.
@ILoveStanford chill, we’ve already deduced that it won’t reveal any information. Just wait till March 30th.
This is late but better late than never. For next year’s applicants…don’t overestimate the value of legacy for SCEA.
Both my parents attended Yale, I had a 4.0 GPA, 36 ACT, am Hispanic…and was deferred. Fine tune those essays kiddos
@jacobjohnson0410, that is a bummer. Your stats/details scream Admit. Good luck on the 30th. Seems like we all need a bit of luck - in addition to good stats.
@jacobjohnson0410 you’ll get in RD most likely.
lol just got rejected from Yale NUS so chances seem pretty slim for Yale…
Yeah I just got waitlisted at Yale-NUS.
My essays are crap so my chances just hit 0.
What’s Yale-NUS?
Yale-NUS is even more selective (like… a 4% acceptance rate, and even lower for people who aren’t from Singapore) + they offer far fewer majors than Yale, so I don’t think a waitlist/rejection there is an accurate depiction of your chances for Yale.
I was just rejected from Yale-NUS; probably means I have no shot at Yale lmao
@scarletwitchx Yale-NUS has way lower tests scores though. 1440 vs 1540 average at Yale.
Guys… Don’t be sad you didn’t get into Yale-NUS just because you’re not Singaporean. The college is under no obligation to have Americans take up 90% of its student body (which is the way it is in American colleges, e.g. maybe no legal obligation but they do it anyway). You’re just experiencing what every international student is when they apply to a college in the US.
