@Itiznotfare I had an interview and was deferred
the majority had interviews and the majority were deferred. Hey . . . you don’t suppose . . .
@JBStillFlying hahaha the majority were qualified, impressive applicants and the majority were deferred. Be an unqualified and weak applicant!

This link has everything you need.
No interview and deferred .
Not sure if Yale even cares about alumni interviews .
A lot of regions don’t have enough alumni volunteers .
Bruh I’m a triple legacy and I got deferred
Congrats to all who got in.
For those who got deferred and denied, your hard work won’t go waste in the long run.
Now the wait for March 28th begins
Is it gonna be March 28th again this year?
Could be the 29th, last Friday of the month.
“Decisions for Regular Decision candidates will be posted online by April 1”
@hyperpi314 it says march 28th on the portal, so that’s when it will be
Hi everyone, I got deferred as well :(. Took a break from this thread but returned with a question for @skieurope or anyone who can answer: for all of the schools I am applying to RD, is it possible to submit a supplemental letter of rec after I submit my application? Can the recommender email it to the admissions office or something, or does it have to be sent in before I submit my app? It’s a pretty busy time for my recommender between the holidays and giving birth LOL so I don’t want to bother her right now and ask her to submit her letter to all of my RD schools until at least a few weeks. It is a letter from my research mentor who I have been published with and I’d really like colleges to see it. Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer
PS. The letter is already written because I sent it to Yale in the research supplement, so it is just the submitting part that I am concerned about
@crazyforhorses you can have her send it after she has given birth and just note that in the additional info section of the common app I think
So if Yale’s decision date is March 28, does that mean that the decision dates for the whole Ivy League will be March 28? Do they all post their decisions at the same time?
@crazyforhorses: If you supply your recommendation writer with an addressed, stamped envelope to each of your RD schools, they can always snail mail the supplemental LoR in at anytime. However, as sub-committees start reviewing applications after January 15th, they should send the letter in ASAP!
@rileyhoffman: By Ivy League Conference rules: Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Brown, Columbia, Dartmouth, UPenn and Cornell are required to post RD acceptances on the same date.
@rileyhoffman For 2017, decisions for all Ivys were March 30th at 5pm. Last year, it was March 28th at 7pm for ALL of them. So not surprised if this year it’s the same date and time for all Ivys. Get ready for March 28th Ivy Day!
@Lapetitecrisecardiaque @gibby Thank you! Will they announce a certain time as well? When did they do so last year?
They are required to announce on the same date; they are not required to announce at the same time, although they have for the last couple of years. The specifics of the time will be be revealed closer to the date.
