Does anyone know chances of deferred application being accepted during regular decision?
I believe the admit rate at Yale is about 5%. If you’re a deferred applicant and don’t have a hook, your chances will be lower than this.
A communication plan that shows ongoing interest can improve your chances (see CC deferred applicant article), especially if you have meaningful accomplishments later in your senior year.
@pathtotruth the deferral letter said the admittance rate for deferred applicants is roughly the same as the regular decision pool: 6.5%
