Yale Acceptance

This may be a dumb question but what does the Yale acceptance page look like?? lol. I heard it's not just a notification of ur acceptance or denial.

no.

It’s actually like a 9 x 12 (or whatever the dimensions are) white envelope. It has a lot of fun and colorful papers inside and includes a pennant.

I don’t have personal experience with this, but I’ve heard from students that it starts off blank and then A BULLDOG JUMPS OUT AT YOU OMG AND STARTS DANCING. It substitutes for the A in Yale or something like that. I live at school and my neighbor got into Yale last year. All you could hear was this music and hysterical crying. Apparently she thought she had been rejected because it was so “scary.” (No, she didn’t get in because of smarts…)

Of course, this is second-hand info, so I could be totally off the bat!

The Bulldog doesn’t start dancing. Here’s what happens:

You click, a big YALE sign, with the bulldog taking the place of the “A,” jumps out on the page with the following text: Congratulations! and welcome to… YALE! You’re a member of the Class of 2013! (or 2014, whatever, they may change it).

And there’s also the Cole Porter fight song playing in the background: “Bulldogs, Bulldogs, bow wow wow, ELI YALE!!!”

Haha it was crazy when it popped up… I was so expecting to get deferred (I applied SCEA)

AHH! I really hope i get in!

oooh lol i misread the OP.

I actually have screen shots of the acceptance page though.

for the class of 2012, there was no welcome or anything. it was just a bulldog. and i was like wha?

I am in love with that link, eating food.

Hopefully I’ll get to tell everyone what the Class of '14 acceptance page will look like.

Also, I noticed that the link says “yale.edu/decision/admit/…” Do you think the “admit” means you got accepted? Would it say “reject” if you got rejected? I can just see my computer taking forever to load when I check to see my decision (it does that for SAT scores and basically everything else that is important) so I’ll want some way of knowing before the whole thing loads…
