Yale admission chances? Financial aid info.

Hi,
I am an American citizen. I have lived and studied all my life in India. What are my chances at Yale?
Family income= less than $60000
Here are my stats-
ACT= 34
CGPA= 10/10

ECs= Won 3 consecutive MUNs. Volunteered for social work and other smaller ECs.
I have heard that students earning below 65K do not pay tuition.

Thank you.

Yale’s admit rate last year was 6.3%. It is a reach for virtually everyone, including students with perfect grades and test scores. Your stats are good enough to give you shot, but it needs to be part of a balanced reach-match-safety list. Think about what you like about Yale (other than prestige) that you’d like to replicate in other colleges. It’s true that if admitted, your net costs would be quite low. In identifying other schools for your application list, the net costs ought to be a major factor. You can use each school’s online net price calculator to get an estimate.

Here is a list of ~60 schools (including Yale) that claim to meet 100% of demonstrated financial need:

Here is a list of schools that offer automatic full tuition or full ride merit scholarships:

Most schools in the first list would be reach or match schools.
Most in the second would be safeties.

Chances are very slim. You could give it a shot, but you need have more realistic options as well.

Thanks. Is it true that universities don’t consider AP classes and all for students who have studied abroad?

No
