Wow, that's quite a shock. Still, he seems like a very qualified guy. We'll just have to wait and see.

yeeeeeaaaahhhhhh. this is so great. that guy is so hilarious and he really attracted me to Yale during admit weekend. Now hes coming to Stanford with me!!!!

When he lost you, he realized that Yale couldn't cut it anymore, and decided to bail out while he could!

Mamlet was pretty good too.

.. ..

I was reading the article -- the guy's been a director of admissions EVERYWHERE. How d'you even get a job like that? What kind of training do you need? ... I dunno, it just seemed like a kinda funny life direction.

lol thanks Byerly

He probably got sick of being mugged in New Haven. no offense, Yalies :D

Most of the admissions officers I have met have been incredibly articulate, wonderful people. I was blown away by the Harvard Senior Admissions Officer, and my schools has two-ex Santa Clara University officers working for them, and they're just awesome.

Richard Shaw did a terrific job at Yale. Stanford did very well to get him.

i remember Shaw made every attempt to put down harvard. that bothered me and really hurt my interest in the school. But now that I'm a die hard stanford '09er I really hope he has as many jokes for Cal

As someone I know cracked, he's getting a "promotion."

lol haha

Now he has to deal with all nuts from CA.

"Shaw will be returning to the west with his wife Delphine Red Shirt"

What an odd name. Anyway, who would opt for Connecticut weather over california weather, even if it is nor cal weather and you have to work for Stanford?
