Yale and the act

I know the act matters and all, but i'm not the best standardized tester. I have tons of extra curricular activities and i'm number one in my class- beating out all of the kids with 33+ composite scores. As a very involved African American male what do you guys think the lowest act score yale would accept me with?

I know people with 26’s that have been accepted, but the chances of that are very slim if you ask me.

Scores aren’t everything. If anything they’re one of the least important parts of the application. Show Yale that you’re unique through your essays and all the other numbers should suffice.

31ish except for “extremely extenuating circumstances”. Don’t know how to define this exactly, but such is life.

It’s hard to say. You need to just take it and see how you do. You might surprise yourself

Evidence please? A perfect score might not make you stand out at Yale, but a low score will.

If that’s what you think, then why are 30+ of the 50 threads you’ve started on the ACT & SAT Prep forums asking for advice on improving your scores?

ZING!
