I’ve read in a few places that some folks who apply to Yale are almost automatic acceptances, some are in a “grey” area (and adcoms must deliberate on these people), and some who fall short for some reason or another and ultimately don’t really have a chance of admission. Could someone in the know elaborate on this (if it’s true)?
