Have been accepted to Princeton, Yale, and Brown . . . Which one would you recommend? Why? We are visiting Princeton today -- then Yale tomorrow -- then Brown on Thursday. Need suggestions . . .

Yale.

It depends on personal preference, though, between Princeton and Yale. Brown isn’t a good idea unless you can afford it (FA sucks compared to Princeton and Yale) and really like Providence/the excessively liberal campus culture.

bugs, you haven’t given us anything to go on about what he might be looking for in a school. Since we don’t know him, and he’s got this tremendous opportunity to visit and form his own impressions, I’d ignore what’s said on a forum by strangers who will cheerlead like mad for their own favorite (Go Yale!). Let your son take it all in and make the decision, unless there are extreme differences in finaid packages that you must address. Try and stay in the background and listen to what he says, and try and read his body language- tense? relaxed? in a hurry to leave? What great choices. Congratulations.

Ask this question after you’ve visited.

Well, I’ve visited all 3 now – Brown, Yale, Princeton . . . They are ALL great schools . . . I have no idea which one to choose . . . I am extremely interested in knowing more about the English programs and the Biology programs at these schools, because as of now, I am undecided as to my major . . .

I’m looking into similar schools. and Congrats on getting into all of them! I think I’d choose Princeton, to be honest. I like the general size, the approximity to civilization, and the atmosphere. After that maybe Brown, but Princeton is much better with FA than Brown… They all have amazing Biology and English departments, given, so I’d narrow it more towards personal preference.

I dont know about Yales bio (although, obv it is very high quality), but I know their English department is arguably the most recognized in the world… So like vintage said, go where it feels right… chances are youll know as soon as you go back to the campus…
