My uncle is an associate professor at yale so I was hoping that would help a lot.

Recs are pretty good and essays are excellent

Is it even worth applying?

I doubt that having a relative on the faculty will make much of a difference at all. You have only presented a very cursory outline of your qualifications, but assuming there is nothing more to your application than what you have listed, I would think the odds are long, unless your school has a history of sending students with qualifications similar to yours to Yale and peers.

I think you’re aiming too high. Your chances of getting into ivies are very low to be honest. Apply to good state schools like UW Madison, for example
Even for the most qualified, it is still a long shot. Unless you have a parent that is a high profile alumni, a mere relative on faculty is not going to hold a lot of sway with the admission folks. What you have provided in terms of information does not exactly mean you are entirely out of the ball park, but you have to articulate a nexus on why Yale–and it has to be compelling. That said–it’s a reach.
