@ firstgeen: Exactly what T26E4 said.

Just look at it as having been another opportunity to present yourself well to the admissions committee. I didn’t even get contacted for a first interview–so no worries!

My S got in U Chicago and northwestern, and WUSL, and Carnegie, now he is waiting for Harvard and Yale, he got deferred from Princeton. So nervous!! He is planning to study Econ. So it is OK with U Chicago, I guess.

only about 39 hours until decisions come out; so close yet so far away!

"So close, no matter how far… "

I think tomorrow will be the longest day of my life to date.

Well, no. The longest day you had is when we switch from daylight saving time to regular time, in winter : That’s a day that lasts 25h !

@hennebou, quite a sense of humor you’ve got there… haha

Haha as I typed that, I was thinking about that and wondering whether anyone would call me out. Silly me, this is a Yale thread. That is true though! It would suck if that was the day admission decisions were released.

I’m actually kind of glad Ivy Day fell after NU, UVA, and a bunch of others. This way we already know from some schools so the stress is (slightly) diminished.

@mg
True… unless you’re like me who got rejected by NU and waitlisted by Wash U…
Even though I’m international applicant asking for FA, those rejections sucked…

Has anyone tried logging into their Eli account and received a message that says username or password not recognized? S wanted to make sure everything was good for tomorrow and couldn’t log in.

same here… remember however, that decisions are delivered on a different webportal as they did for the SCEA decisions. not on the Eli-Accounts

Jacobs…did Yale send an email with that web portal link? Don’t think we have it…

@somersboysmom: I don’t think they sent an email recently with the portal link. I do recall, however, that soon after submitting my application I got an email with information on how to set up my Eli Account which also included a link to the decisions portal. I will double-check that though!

I just called them. They said they shut down Eli portal to upload decisions. I have mixed confidence that my sons account will still work tomorrow, since he asked to reset password…and they close at 4:30 tomorrow and don’t reopen until Monday. Alas, more mom stress…

I’m an intruder to this thread, but I want to wish all of you the best of luck tomorrow! Of course, most of you don’t need luck, but I’m a generous person :P

@Whisper thank you so much! The generosity is much appreciated!!!

We less than 23 hours away from ‘THE MOMENT’

Best of luck to everyone, I know, at some point, we all get what we pray for!

I haven’t posted much on this thread, but I have been checking CC almost daily to keep my rambunctious heart a little calmer. Thank you all for staying as good company of me, and at this point, I just want to wish you all good luck tomorrow. if we do get in together, I will be more than happy to see you around campus.

Does anyone what time tomorrow the decision will be available?

Although I was deferred at Harvard early and waitlisted at Duke regular (both bad signs for my Yale decision), I still have some small hope of getting into Yale. I put everything into my Yale supplement essay, which cannot be said for the essays at the other two schools. I look forward to 5 pm tomorrow good luck all!
