Okay, well they are not that horrid I guess

Application submitted! Good luck everyone!

Almost ready to send it in! I decided to forgo the “Why Yale” question, because there’s no way I could fit everything in without sounding hopelessly choppy.

For the essay, I’m thinking about submitting a piece I wrote about how persistence has brought me many blessings, even though I’ve had to overcome barriers (Asperger’s syndrome, family deaths, depression, dyspraxia). I’m worried it’s too cliche.

Good luck to everyone!! May the odds be ever in your favor.

@sirjosh I was accepted SCEA, and my advice is to send the choppy version of your Why Yale. Mine was also choppy and comparatively not well written. However, it was a creative and unique idea. Yale will already see you can write well from the rest of your essays. I think not answering makes it appear as of you don’t have a reason.

I sent mine in!

I sent mine in too!

@lucya01995 let us know the response

Only the Application is shown as downloaded.
The Supplement is shown as Completed.
Have I done something wrong? Or Have they just not downloaded the supplement yet?

@iris No your’e fine! The supplements are not supposed to be downloaded, only the application is. I just checked one of my EA schools and the supplement only said complete but the application definitely went through and I got a decision from there!

Iris, don’t worry about it. The application and your recs are the only things that will be “downloaded” according to the CA.

half a month away from cc…finally done all my apps! i feel like i applied to way too many schools…
i kind of regret doing yale early; the application i sent for regular schools was definitely better…

Me too, canadian2013. Oh well, I’ll send in an update - hopefully that’ll be enough.

when do you think is a good time to send an update?

Mid-January? Definitely before the end of February.

Hmm do you think mid-February is too late?
I do DECA and i have a competition then…or else I could send a second update

You could simply note your upcoming competition. No biggie.

Problem with mid February is that they may have already evaluated your app and your update would be too late.

Any yale applicants already accepted ea anywhere?

yeup MIT. i don’t have high hopes for Yale, i’m pretty sure they’re looking for way different things…

unicameral2013,
You are already accepted by MIT and you are applying to Yale?! Why???

cantconcentrate i thought the decisions came out at the beginning of april? or do they like to make the decisions and just sit on them for a month? (i wouldn’t be surprised)
