Haha, GoodACTor, me too.

4 mistakes.

See, that’s why I haven’t sent mine in yet. Bad mistakes? Clam-fart caliber?

I’m still pretty excited about my chances. I just wish I had added a few more things to my additional information section.

Also the Common App added exclamation points to all my uploaded files. I made a joke about it, though when I explained it.

“Incidentally, the Common App has added exclamation points to various parts of my uploaded documents. While I am indeed excited about applying to your school, those are not supposed to be there.”

That’s not the best joke of the app, but I was in a rush.

How many jokes exactly did you put in your app? I like to know what kind of comedic talent I’m up against.

I’d say 3? Maybe 4 by accident?

I’m toast. I didn’t include a single joke, witty remark, or clever play on words. I guess it’s just time to own up to the fact that I’m not ivy material :(

All kidding aside, the anxiety is starting to set in. I want to know NOW.

I don’t think any of them were ha-ha funny. If anything, I might get an “oh, that’s somewhat clever/memorable.” V.V

I wanted to show that I had some sort of sense of humor. Maybe they’ll think I’m offbeat. (But I think my teachers might have called me a complete weirdo in their recs.)

"— was not only one of my most intelligent students in all my years, but also one of the weirdest ones. I’d hypothesize that he was raised by wolves, but that would only account for his wild mannerisms, not his insanity."

I’d kill to read their recs!!!

I had this chance to do it once, too. The paper was right in my hand, under the sheet she needed me to sign first before she could send it. She walked off to talk to a teacher, leaving me with a moral dilemma to face alone.

Maybe the fact that she was so comfortable with risking her confidentiality means that she wrote a good letter. Not at all afraid that I might peek at it and lose all hope.

GoodActor: same here. Now I fear I was too serious for my entire app. :/

Good luck to all SCEA-ers!

just submitted my application!!! terribly psyched right now haha btw, how long does it take them to send us Eli accounts?

Submitted my app a few hours ago! I reread it integrally about twelve times, so I’m hoping I caught the typos and cut the choppiness. Absolutely terrified though.

Good luck everyone!

Eli accounts come within 3 weeks after application submission.

I got my account yesterday, which was exactly a week after submission.

^ thanks!! can’t wait for dec 15 ahhhh!! what’re y’all doing in the meantime anyway haha

Can someone post how many hours we have left until the deadline?

well it’s about a hour and a half to 2359 EST so thereabouts… Unless you’re affected by Sandy then it’s the 5th I’m not sure though

Clicked submit, shouted at computer to load the page faster, and checked my clock - 11:59.

Date submitted: 11/01/12.

Deadline for SCEA has passed ^_^

Unless you live in the NE, haha.
