The Bristol Yale club covers a good portion of Hartford Country in CT and my interviewer said that I’m one of two applicants that the Bristol Club covers…which is good I’m guessing. Also my aunt is the president of the Bristol Yale Club, so I’m hoping that may carry some weight. Less than 4 days everyone, has it hit you yet?

@redboldx mmm I love cakepops

I ll probably bake over the weekend regardless of what happens. Im also going to make cupcakes night before for a fundraiser (: any suggestions on what type/ how I should ice them?

^ I love inside-out cupcakes, personally. When the icing is on top, it just gets too messy.

OHmyDD95, you may be right. There seem to have been a lot of late interviews being requested, but we seem to have overlooked the possibility of Sandy screwing things up. I suppose it’s just futile to look too far into this.

I love cake pops too… Want to send some over here? :o

I have two cartons of Starbucks ice cream in my freezer ready.

Ice them on site? xD Unless you have those fancy cupcake holder things. Make sure the icing sets before you transport them?
@OHmyDD95 maybe! My last name starts with a C

OHmyDD95, I live in the region you mentioned earlier, and yes I did my interview back on like 11/26 … which was pretty late. The interviewer said that she just got my name that day… so maybe it’s just a thing with the alumni club for our region sending stuff out really late?

I have fancy cupcake containers…and lots of different icing equipment. I love baking :p

On a side note, has anyone here received any email about enrollment deposit waivers?

I wish I knew how to bake I just burn everything, haha.

No :o

@canadian2013 no dice on enrollment deposits

They sell cake pop machines, did ya’ll know that? I have a friend who makes cake-pops in her living room LOL

redboldx, SERIOUSLY!?

I need one.

I searched on CC and there were 2 people from the past couple years who had interviews a week before decision day and both were deferred (from Yale)…:(

like @OHmyDD95 said, its probably just a coincidence, I think we’re reading too much into things, don’t worry! (: lets enjoy the time we have until decision day

do the majority of SCEA applicants get rejected or deferred? (NOT trying to bring anyone’s spirits down, I promise! I was just curious because on last year’s SCEA results thread I saw more yellow than red)

I’m pretty sure the stats were something like
50% deferred (…)
35% rejected
15% accepted

Majority of SCEA applicants get deferred. And many who are deferred and continue on to the regular decision period ultimately get accepted. (That’s what my interviewer told me, at least)

~7% of those deferred get accepted in RD.

Is anyone beyond stressed out? I watched the “Why I Chose Yale” video on YouTube and nearly threw up in nervousness! Ridiculous, I know.

Guess my interviewer lied to me. Craaaaaaaap

@ealdi94 , I have a lot of family in and around Bristol! The last time I visited though was probably…5 years ago at least. We basically meet in Maine and Massachusetts these days if we meet at all.

@CantConcentrate: I was reading posts from earlier and saw you asking if anyone had received contact about interviews from Texas/New Mexico sort of area. Which state are you from?
