@heyhey2 I don’t think so. I really think the situation in Crimea influenced the admission office, you know. Did you send any NEW and ADDITIONAL materials to Yale?

I sent an letter of interest with updates that are not in my application and I had guidance send my 3rd quarter grades.

Will someone else write to their regional admissions officer to see if we can get an update? I emailed mine last Friday and she said “next week” and I don’t want to bug her.

@woof28 what udates were yours?

Waitlist is closed guys. Got my rejection letter 1.5 hours ago.

Yep same .

spuding or tuftluver, could one of you possibly post what the letter said?

they said in this release that they would still be taking 10-15 kids from the waitlist: <a href=“Next freshman class already one for the record books | YaleNews”>Next freshman class already one for the record books | YaleNews;

Perhaps they already notified these lucky few?

So now that Yale is a no go, where are you guys heading off to?

Heading off to duke. What about you guys?

Dear Albert,

Thank you for choosing to remain on Yale’s wait list. I am sorry to tell you that a review of the status of our freshman class indicates that we will not be able to give further consideration to your application. Our matriculation rate increased this year, resulting in more ‘yes’ replies than we had expected. I appreciate your patience in awaiting final word on your candidacy.

Thank you for your interest in Yale. I wish you the very best of luck in your undergraduate years.

Sincerely,

Jeremiah Quinlan
Dean of Undergraduate Admissions
Yale University

Wesleyan! anyone know/ heard about it?

Got rejected too! Colleges shouldn’t wait list 1300 students… Even though everyone knows how hard it is to get accepted off a wait list, we all secretly hope to be the lucky ones… Anyway I’m glad to be going to a college that truly wants me… All the very best to all of you!

Same here guys. rejected. But I got off the wait list for Georgetown so am super excited to head off to DC!!! Good luck to you all and hope you every success in college:)

Also rejected.

@Sophie1295 Bye)

Hey
I was wait-listed at Yale this year. I looked at the Yale Daily News website and, I don’t mean to crush anyone’s hopes or demotivate anyone, but the Dean of Admissions has stated that only 10-15 students will be taken off the wait-list.
