Yale Class of 2018 RD Discussion Thread

@Pookahontas a single instance of peeling potatoes, or peeling potatoes as a recurring event in your life? I really want to read it now ;)

A recurring event. We eat a lot of potatoes at my house. And no, you really don’t, haha…

Damn, everyone has such amazing essays… My common app essay was about libraries (quintessential INTJ, eh, @LAMuniv? :stuck_out_tongue: ) And LOL I’m an INTJ guy in a school of… INTJ people, so I don’t have it too badly :P

I didn’t know what INTJ was, so I looked it up, and yaa, <a href=“Introduction | Architect (INTJ) Personality | 16Personalities”>http://www.16personalities.com/intj-personality</a>, this describes me perfectly.

Go us!

Thanks for the link. I had no idea what it was either.

INTJs, do you know what your enneagram is? I don’t think any of this is scientifically accurate at all, but it is still kind of fun ^.^

I’m enneagram 5, and according to the first post here <a href=“Welcome - INTJ Forum”>Welcome - INTJ Forum; the stereotypes are, among others: “The nihilist with a ‘**** the world’ mentality.” and “The recluse who obsessively and vividly rehearses things in his/her imagination but never acts on them.” so, yes. :P

" INTJs find it very difficult to handle romantic relationships, especially in their earliest stages. People with this personality type are more than capable of loving and taking care of the people close to them, but they are likely to be completely clueless when it comes to attracting a partner."

Hahahaha that is SO me.

took a test and I’m definitely an INTJ. Woo

Breaking News: Yale Class of 2018 98% INTJ

A proud ESTJ here… lolol
Maybe I am part of that 2 percent? ;)

@matrixsurgeon You’re just unique, then :P

Took another test and I’m enneagram 5

@romeonachos Join the club~

Mix between Ennegram 3 and Ennegram 9 :-?

Though I get the feeling that, like matrixsurgeon, I’m more E than I.

Defs an extrovert here I dont like personality quizzes though sooooo

I am probably Ennegram 3 but like @meghamind I don’t really believe in personality “quizzes” as its harder to identify someone under one category that matches everything which is very unlikely!

^ Oh I agree,as I said before I just think it’s kind of interesting and fun for me to do, even though it has absolutely no scientific merit. :)

Well put @matrixsurgeon there is so much more to an individual than the mere categorization of his or her social tendencies

Any ISFJs here? Or am I the only one? :)

My optional was on the novel I wrote and self published on Amazon, and subsequently got into the best-selling list of its genre.

Everybody’s optional essays seem to be on non-accomplishments like the size of your noze @meghamind, etc… Was that what we were supposed to write about? Now I’m worried I came across pompous, talking about something I’m proud of.

Let’s hope not.
