Accepted!!
Funny. I forgot my Eli account pass and had to change it.

@astaff95 ahh where I’m sure wherever you end up, it’ll be for the best! And Oxbridge are ridiculously random, I heard of a boy that got 7A*s at A-Level and got rejected from Oxford :s , but got into Ivy Leagues…what course are you applying for in the UK?

@EtiquetteOfWar @matrixsurgeon I didn’t get in any ivies

@chocolateee well, I already finished my A-levels, six of them and all As and As. I’m doing a seventh one now, and I’m having trouble getting into ANY university at all, which I frankly speaking find totally ridiculous. I have a friend who did 7 A-levels, all split between As and As too and she got into Cambridge but got rejected by all Ivies and MIT so I really don’t know what criteria all those schools use
And I’ve applied for PPE, though now that I think about it, I should have just gone for law…

Not sure if someone has mentioned it, but the admit rare was reported by Yale daily news is 6.26% this year.

Congrats to everyone who got in! It’s been a long road on this admissions season. I received my rejection letters from Yale and Harvard today. I was wait listed at Duke. I did get into Dartmouth though which was one of my top choices, and I couldn’t be happier. I wish everyone the best of luck and a reminder that your college does not define you!

@astaff95 woooow that’s amazing, i don’t understand…you have to get in somewhere, you will! Otherwise it wasn’t meant to be in my opinion. The whole system is unfair tbh, and that’s finally sinking in for me properly now I’ve got 3 rejections (Yale, Duke and Brown) :(

Not sure if anyone has noticed but I’ve only seen like 4 acceptances on here. Is that really it or are decisions still coming?

Accepted.

no, it’s over. Yale accepted 6.2% of applicants.

Accepted to Yale, Columbia, Penn, Brown, Cornell
Rejected to Princeton…oh well

Just got my rejection notification. Probably for the better to be honest. Was really just applying to see if I could make it, so it’s better that these spots will be going to people who would actually use them.
Was never really an option with those tuition costs. Will probably just end up taking my full ride to Baylor or going to UNC if I get a decent offer. Congratulations to all of those who made it, I’m sure you’ve worked very hard to get to this point, and I wish you the best during your time at Yale. For those who didn’t make it, there are plenty more of us (the vast majority actually) who also didn’t, so don’t feel too down about it. Plenty more options and great colleges out there! :)

Accepted Cornell, waitlisted Columbia, rejected Yale. Congrats to all!

Rejected…and same as mdcmom

Accepted: Yale, Columbia, Brown, Cornell, …Duke, Rice
Rejected to : Princeton

@matrixsurgeon congratulations on Cornell! That’s awesome. Made a decision on where you will be going yet? I have no idea and still three more decisions coming

Accepted: Williams, Amherst, Davidson, Pomona, Emory, COLUMBIA AND YALE!!!
Waitlisted: Bowdoin, Wash U, Claremont McKenna
Rejected: UChicago (Deferred), Cornell, Penn, Dartmouth

I have no explanation, but this is insane! I’m just waiting on Stanford and Haverford at this point.

You guys…it’s over…it’s finally over…:O

Someone please tell me a couple people from the RD thread crew got in…We all fit so well ffs :((

Anyway, congrats to the accepted. Do it big my brothers.

Edit: And Sisters.

Well that was kind of a rough day, to be honest. Rejected to all 7 ivies I applied to, including Yale. Surprised? Eh, not really. A bit disappointed, I suppose. I’m happy for everyone that was accepted to one or more of these phenomenal schools, though, and if you choose to attend, I’m sure you’ll do great! In some strange way, I feel like we’re all gonna end up where we’re supposed to be.
