<p>I have a friend (intel finalist) who got into Harvard, Princeton, and Stanford. She was flat out rejected from yale. It’s a crapshoot… you win some and lose some.</p>
<p>Darn… Yale was my dream school 
I worked two months on my essays (somewhat overkill?) and as a Native American was really interested in joining the cultural community while being immersed in the residential college life… proves that hooks aren’t everything! (although I never relied on my ethnicity) just tried to show who I was, what I wanted to do and why Yale was a perfect fit.</p>
<p>But oh well, life goes on. Maybe I’ll apply as a transfer. Or wait until grad school. Either way I’m just glad I tried! 
it’s a wonderful university, and I can’t wait to see where I’ll end up! </p>

<p>@Saona63, My son has the same heritage as your son, performed perfectly on tests, and in school. He also was accepted. I hope that they get the chance to meet at Yale. Your son sounds amazing.</p>
