Would you choose Yale over Oggsford?

Dear other applicants who submitted around the October 27th date,

Have you received any sort of confirmation email from Yale?

I submitted it on November 3rd and received the confirmation email on November 4th. Hope this helps!

I submitted mine on Nov. 4th and received an email the next day as well.

X3Strawb3rry, I would like to clarify (I am sorry if Iâm repeating myself):

So you received the confirmation email from Yale College, not from the Common Application; is this correct?

I am confused because I was not aware of this âconfirmation email.â As far as I know, Yale website only mentions of sending confirmation emails that set up Eli accountsânot anything else.

Also, does your common application website show âdownloadedâ? Mine shows âSubmittedâ still.

Hoping for the best, but this surely gets me anxious. I would appreciate any further suggestions or help.

Does anyone know the date that decisions will come out yet, Friday, December 13th, or Monday, December 16th? Last year, when the 15th was on a Saturday, the results came out at 5 PM (or so) on Friday the 14th.

^^^ Since the deadline was extended, your best bet would be that D-day is a little later. But I have no idea.

And all my CA stuff now says âdownloadedâ as of today. I submitted my app Sunday night for those wondering BTW.

I also got the confirmation email.

@ClimbUptheIvy, Yes I the confirmation email was from Yale College and provided a confirmation ID number. Yes, my all my documents are shown as âdownloaded.â Maybe contact your counselor or a Yale admissions officer about your situation?

I submitted my app on November 3rd and got an email from Yale saying theyâve received my Common App and Writing Supplement yesterday. Both of those still display as âSubmittedâ on my Common App account, though.

The only things that show as âDownloadedâ on my account are my School Report and two teacher recommendations.

@ericmetubiev2 Iâm actually applying to Cambridge, but I would choose Yale in a heartbeat. :)

@climbingivy: My daughter also submitted around Oct 27 and has not yet received a confirmation email from Yale. Everything looks good from the CA side, and the recommendations show âDownloadedâ.

I got an email asking whether I want to have an interview or not. I sent in the app on the 4th of November. Did any other international student get such an email yet? Specially from the Middle East?

Applied on 11/1, received e-mail from interviewer on 11/4 and received ELI e-mail on 11/5. ELI website shows scores, CA and supplement have been received. Also states transcript and recommendations will be processed on or after 11/8 for SCEA applicants.

I just logged into my Application Checklist and I noticed that the IELTS result I sent (Iâm an international student) doesnât appear along with my SAT scores. Any idea if thatâs normal? The IELTS test report was sent officially from the testing center I took it at, albeit by post.

GUYS Decisions for scea come out Dec 17th as stated by Yale in the email they sent me todayâŠ
âDecember 17th, 2013 â for Early Action
March 27th, 2014 â for Regular Decisionâ

awwww i guess itâs later than in the past years more anxious waiting timeâŠbut at least i got my Eli acct and got contacted for the interview! :)

I just saw the e-mail too⊠2 extra days of waiting. Good luck at your interview!

I still havenât received an eli account (submitted nov. 2)

Didnât get eli or interview offer. Should I be worried?

How do they contact us for interviews? Email?
