I just got my interview email! Wow, this is making me nervous :)

Going to have my interview- nervous but excited! And interviews are just a minor facet of the application review, if I understood correctly? As in having a great interview can only help you but having a mediocre one wonāt do much?

So if I sent the app 3-4 weeks ago, and havenāt heard from an alumnus for an interview that means itās unlikely Iāll be interviewed? Sweeeeet

Just got an interview e- mail today. I know interviews are not supposed to be āmandatoryā, but since I got offered one, will it reflect negatively on me if I opt out?

This may be too earlyā¦ but does anyone know what the admission, deferral, and rejection letters say? Iāll be seeing one of them when decisions come out but Iām just curious.

if you get in thereās a singing bulldog on the screen

^ seriously? If there is then Iāll just click and avoid looking and if I donāt hear anything then I know Iāve been rejected

I also submitted my application on October 27th and received an email for an alumni interview, but have received no sort of confirmation from Yale- neither with an ID number nor Eli account info. So Iād say that all the emails come out of order, and not to worry

Guys thereās still no info about my teacher recommendations an school report in my Eli account. Whatās wrong?

Does the green check mark under Application Status on the Checklist page means that they got all required materials and Iā m all set?

Still no eli account. Application was submitted on 11/03 and a confirmation email was received with a Yale ID.

^Itās only been a week, the Admissions office is swamped. Please be patient people.

same here ā still no info about my teacher recommendations and school report on my Eli account

Application, essays, recommendations, SAT scores all in, interview completed. Itās scary to think that the only thing left to do is wait for December 17 to come around.

ikr? i have my interview tomorrow thoughā¦ :O

@awesomenerd Good luck! Iām sure youāll do amazingly do let me know how yours goes, though. My interviewās coming up in about a week!

A heads up.

If you donāt think youāre the sort of person who will do well in an interview or just donāt care for the hassle, donāt do it. Donāt respond to the alumniās attempts to contact you. Donāt sweat it.

Interviews seriously do not matter much at all. At all. And having gone to one definitely does not give you any edge over the people who have not. Seriously.

Interviews are like the human tailbone. Outmoded and no longer a big deal - unless you break it.

Any international student received interview info yet?

Seriously? I feel like itād be a red flag if you didnātā¦unless the admissions office had no idea you were contacted.

Philovitist, āInterviews are like the human tailbone. Outmoded and no longer a big deal - unless you break it.ā

lol. Great statement. I will tell DS.
