guys I am just like :OOOO
what to do in this last week but be nervous

The issue for me is that I have a whole week of exams right after decision day. Iām taking 5 AP classes so that doesnāt help either. I may check my decision at the end of the week. Itāll be nerve wracking, however, to watch everyone post their results and sit there and wonderā¦

I have finals next monday, tuesday, and wednesday ā¦but I donāt think I could hold off on looking at the decisionā¦I have to know

waitā¦if u know u got in wouldnāt u not have to try as hard on the finals? Because u know, as long as u get a B overall u should be fine.

Oh man, I just realized finals start for me the day after I find out my Yale decisionā¦ If theyād kept it on the 17th, though, I wouldāve found out the night before my physics final (which is a mock AP exam!). Now Iām glad they moved it up a day, haha.

Hey Guys, do you think sending in my Mid-Year report now would have any impact on my admissions decision (I had better grades this year than last year). Oh, and btw, Iām an international student.

Sorry if this has already been addressed (I looked back through recent threads and couldnāt find it) but when are decisions being released? And where did you guys get the information about decisions being released earlier than the 17th? (I did not see any specific date on the Yale website).

Thanks!

We are finally down to the last week before the Decision. Good luck keeping busy or otherwise distractedā¦ Dec 16th will be here before you know it. And best of luck in terms of the final outcomeā¦

storylover132: A number of people, including us, called Yale and Dec 16th is the date that they are now stating will be the day for decisionsā¦ posted online at 5pm EST. Good Luckā¦

Oh okay thank you very much! Well, I am not sure whether I should be excited or even more nervous -,-.

Youāre welcome. My daughter has taken the position that she is expecting a Deferralā¦ that the #s simply project such an outcome. She will of course be excited to be pleasantly surprised, but she is prepared for the long wait until March to know her true fate.

The website now says decisions will be available the evening of December 16. Good luck from a white female majoring in math :)

What website?

Yaleās websiteā¦ It actually now says:

For Early Action applicants to the Class of 2018 / December 9, 2013

Decisions will be available on our website the evening of Monday, December 16. Please note that you will need your Eli Account information to login to check your decision.

@haryloo A girl at my school got in EA to Yale. Second semester, she got a warning letter from the admissions office because she ādropped to a B+ in several courses.ā

NYGuy: I find that not believable.

NYerGuy ā That is very hard to believe, as in not believable. I think she have have mislead you, and in fact her second semester grades were (very) considerably lower than a B+

T26E4 ā You beat me to the punch

Perhaps he goes to a school where severe grade inflation makes a B+ tantamount to failure? Either that, or the girl was lying. Iām not sure why nyguy would be deliberately alarmist and lie.
