@doctorknow97 No for me as well. I donāt think it means anything, though.

or have they just not put all of the accepted students in the system yet?

Iām sure Yale has thought of every possible way students might try to find out earlier. I doubt this would be a loophole. And if it was, it would have been announced on CC years ago.

Good find, though @doctorknow97. Very clever ;)

@alex7607 Yes! I submitted an art supplement. I found the 10 piece limit to be quite unfavorable haha. But I hope they take it into much consideration, as I spent a lot of time, care, and effort on my art. Hopefully, it makes a difference.

@x3Strawb3rry haha awesome! So I take it it was in the visual arts. same here I talked about art loads throughout my app. Do you mind me asking what you want to major in? Cuz Iām hoping to do engineering, I was wondering how usual/unusual it was that applicants submit supplements without intending to major in the arts.

Iām probably undecided right now, but I have strong interest in the biology field, especially bioengineering (so I also did the engineering essay lol). But I also indicated an interest in the visual arts, and my Common Application had a lot of art-related things in it haha. Iām a little worried because my application does not show as strong of an interest in the sciences or engineeringā¦ Iām hoping my essay shows my true interest in it though.

can ever concentrate on other
supplements

@x3Strawb3rry Okay so Iāve found another of my kind! Iām hoping that being an arty Asian will count as a āhookā of sortsā¦ Iām grasping straws, I know. Iām sure itās all good, mine didnāt really talk about engineering much except for in the engineering essay either soā¦

@Kigzcorp ā¦huh?

I applied biomedical engineering as well. Itās cool that you guys have art backgrounds as well. My extracurriculars were all science-related or sports. Not sure which they would prefer. Hopefully weāll be bioengineering classmates. Good luck to you all :)

I actually really want to attend Yale for its diversity. I feel like it is a very artsy school but also does not neglect its sciences. And, as I am undecided right now, the diversity can allow me to explore a lot of fields before deciding. :)

Iām seeing all the Harvard and Stanford kids get their decisions and Iām just internally screaming. bjl;asdj;lfajdkhada

we should hack into yaleās network and find our decisions. totally worth it.

My school is actually a public school that is pretty average, so the number of Ivy League and HYPSM students is limited (we have only had like 2 so far if you include Caltech). I actually have a lot of classes with them, so I know them pretty well and Iām happy for them. Still, all the decisions make me really really nervous and anxious, and I canāt help but feel a little jealous (not the negative kind of course) of those who know their colleges already. Ugh, so nervous.

Just curious - does anyone still have most of their college applications not completed? My art supplement actually takes up a lot of my time (still not done completely done hahaā¦), and Iām planning to just grind through the essays during winter break. Anyone?

ughh yeah I have many RD supplements to write over winter breakā¦as I am expecting a deferral from Yale

Iām kind of resigned to my fate of being deferred or rejected and already have a list of supplements that I have to complete over winter break. Seeing my friends get into their top colleges (Duke, Colombia, etcā¦) makes me simultaneously incredibly happy for them and overwhelmingly worried for myself. I honestly am pretty sure I am not up to par, since I happen to come from the most intelligent class graduating from my school in about 10 years, so the pressure is enormous.

^ I know how you feel. I know so many people that have been accepted to so many Ivies and great colleges and iām just likeā¦

Good luck everyone!
