Can anyone explain to me what’s different from Yale and the other Ivies. I kind of want to apply but really only want to apply to one (two max). Trying to find which (if any) of the Ivies are a good fit for me.

@rdeng2614, well, you’ve come to one of the places to get your question answered, but surely you don’t want it even more pre-chewed, right? There must be a thousand data points that relate to your question, all findable with a simple Google search.

I keep coming back to a view that selective schools want people who are resourceful, who use Google, who read critically, who can spot and discount agendas, etc. In my view, if you can’t decide which if any of the Ivies are for you, then you’re not for the Ivies. Sorry to be harsh; I’ve only had one cup of coffee.

Hey guys! So I’ll be starting my freshman year at Yale in the fall. Since I had a great network of current college students who helped me with the process, I thought that I’d do an AMA on here to pay it forward! I am by no means a college admissions expert, but I can speak to what worked for me and hopefully that can help you. I’d be happy to tackle any general college admissions questions as well with my own experiences in mind.
