Everyone from my school has just been deferral after deferral. Last year, all the people accepted early WERE minorities, so I guess that’s fine. Probably ~20 kids got into ivies RD, so I suppose that’s what I’m banking on.
No one from my school has been deferred or accepted in a while :(( most choose to apply to Vanderbilt, however (Ivy of the South haha)
Anyone else not been able to sleep lately? I’m so nervous and there are still four days left

@ShawnLooch no one from my school has ever applied to Yale! Everyone always applies to Harvard, Columbia, UPENN, etc. just not Yale. Do you think it’ll be an advantage?
@mariascott No clue! I know it probably helps with the Guidance Report, for they kind of rank you amongst other students from your school, which can be helpful.
@glasshours, haha-Yup!! I’m in the GT thread as well. I really love GT. If I get into Yale and GT, it’ll be a hard decision for me to choose between Yale and GT. I’ll probably end up choosing GT though, since its closer to home and its basically free for me (Zell Miller Scholarship). But we’ll see…we still have like one more month until decisions.
I don’t think colleges pick students based on how many applied from the school. That doesn’t sound like a holistic process/
Hey it’s really weird. Like I said, I applied ED Yale
Yale contacted me 2 days ago and asked for an interview. I don’t know what happened to them. They contacted me first in 11/15, and then 12/7, and then 2 days ago, but they kind of ignored my response. I already emailed them that I am ready for an interview but they never email back???
I think they reject me so they won’t need the interview:((
That is very strange @zacle1234 Don’t think much of it though. Remember that you don’t need an interview to be accepted.
@Xboxgamergirl If I get into Yale, and you get into Yale and Georgetown, I’m gonna make you choose Yale because we’e gonna be besties!! LOL
THREE MORE DAYS!!! I stayed up all night talking to my mom about how we’re going to celebrate if I get in :x Hopefully we’ll all be celebrating on Tuesday night! <:-P
I just thought if I don’t talk about it now, I might never have a reason to talk about it after Tuesday…

I almost don’t want to know. I mean, the waiting is horrible. But if I’m rejected, I’ll never get to be a “Yale hopeful” again.

I’ve been following this thread for months now, and it’s only now that I’ve worked myself into an anxious delirium (I can hardly think straight) that I’m joining you guys! My best friend was accepted to Columbia on Thursday, so now my levels of anticipation have only spiked. T-3 days!!! Best of luck to everyone here!
So true I was pretty chill for the beginning and middle weeks after submitting my app, but as soon as the Harvard came out I haven’t stopped thinking about Tuesday for a second. Even while I’m sleeping I wake up randomly and just go over all of the reasons why I won’t get in. Almost 100% sure I’ll be rejected at this point, but I just want to know! Yesterday it was so bad that I almost convinced myself to e-mail my local admissions officer to ask if I got in lol (terrible idea).
