What stats and what location jn cali

Definitely the EC. He’s a good student but others on this forum and at his school have stronger stats. He got 2 Bs in high school, so if you’re a kid who is applying in the next few years, don’t give up on your dream if you have a couple of hiccups along the way.

Congratulations! Yale is about 1.5 hours from JFK airport in NYC, which is really the closest major city. I’m sure Yale contracts with bus companies for regular transport, so it’ll probably be very similar to Dartmouth!

@CalDreamin another airport though smaller is the BDL in Hartford CT. only 45 mins by car and 1hr by train. Though they mainly fly southwest/delta iirc!! CONGRATS ON YOUR FAMILY’S ACCEPTANCE!!!

Lots of good options. Bradley in Hartford is a 1 hr $75 Uber away and if returning to campus for breaks or semester starts it is easy to share with other students. There are non stops from CA to EWR and it is an easy Amtrak transfer to get to New Haven and then Uber to campus or take a free Yale shuttle. LGA or JFK only have low priced fares to support their use and an experienced traveler can take fully public transit from LGA to New Haven via a city bus and then commuter train. Public transit from JFK is not great and the Go Limo shuttles can take hours and be unpleasant. For students lucky enough to be served by Avelo and can work with its limited schedule, flying into New Haven Tweed is beautiful.

Thanks. From the Bay Area I think flying into BDL for Bulldog Days makes the most sense - can figure out the EWR / train thing later. I think it will require a redeye since it takes so long to fly cross country but this is a good start.

Fly to bradley (BDL) then it’s an hour by Uber. Or there is also an airline that flies into the New Haven Airport (Avelo) depending on where you’re coming from.

Bus Honors is great. Many students graduating this year with an easy 6 figure salary with great companies. And Austin is a hotbed of companies that just left the Bay Area…
