<p>How can I tell if a class at Yale is discussion based, lectured based, or a lecture with discussion sessions? Is there some way to tell from the course code or description?</p>
<p>If a class is discussion based, it might say enrollment limited, or otherwise be described/classified as a seminar. If the class has been offered before, you can generally tell what kind of class it is from the evaluations. If the class has discussion sections separate from the lectures, you will be told so when you add the course to your schedule on OCS.
