Hi,
I took both SAT and ACT, but I didn't get my SAT II scores yet so I don't want to send my SAT scores to Yale because they don't offer Score Choice, so I'd rather just send my ACT score (only took it once as opposed to twice for SAT I)

So on the common app, should I not fill in any scores of SAT at all and just fill in my ACT score for the standardized test section? I'm going to only officially report to Yale my ACT score, but I was wondering if I need to only list my ACT score on the common app and refrain from listing any SAT scores.

You would write in on the Common App the scores which you are sending. You said that right now you are just sending the ACT, so just write the ACT scores in. Of course, you must call the ACT people and have them officially send your score too. There is a cost for this. It can be done online, too. Then when you get the SAT II’s back, you can decide if you want to send the SAT’s (the two sittings of SAT I and the SAT II) as well. Even if you didn’t write these on the Common App and have already sent the Common App, you can still have College Board send the scores to Yale. I don’t know if Yale requires the SAT II or not. Even if they do not require it, if you end up doing well on it, I’d have the College Board send it. Of course, that means that your SAT I’s will get sent too, but even if they are not as strong as your ACT, the colleges say that they will choose the better score (ie between the ACT and SAT if youhave both sent) and look at it.

Info is right on the website: they require EITHER SAT I and two SAT II’s OR ACT with writing. Wait and see how your college board scores come in before you send from them. WHat’s your ACT? If it’s very strong, leave well enough alone unless the SAT stuff is too good to omit and you can send later
