Anyone attended the Journalism Symposium at the Yale Daily News? Was it worthwhile?
Yeah I actually went last year and it was super cool. They had a bunch of guest speakers come in and the workshops were really helpful too (led by current editors at the YDN). Overall I thought it was super worth the money (they gave us a group discount because my school newspaper club went as a group). I think it’s virtual this year so they also lowered the cost a lot compared to last year. Would recommend, especially if you’re looking to write something under journalism activities for Common App since there’s not that many opportunities.
