<p>Interesting thread. I recently heard that Stanford was also working to abolish preference for legacy applicants. This coming from the two schools that implemented SCEA. I wonder what their next policy changes will be.</p>
<p>kissy - haven't heard anything re Stanford abolishing legacy preference, but as a Stanford alum I can tell you that currently they are working "overtime" to keep us happy. Received letter saying how 'great it is that S applying, rest assured he will have every consideration, here's a # to call if any qx, blah, blah....' No delusions here as to what this letter is all about (keep the $$ coming). Stanford is a reach for my S, just like anyone else, even with legacy, but they sure don't act like they're winding down and I can't imagine they ever will.</p>
