Yale Doesn't care about Writing

For ppl who wanted to know (which included myself) this website from Kaplan (so slightly credible) indicates that Yale along with several other colleges does not consider the writing section:

KAPLAN EXCLUSIVE: New SAT Scoring Policies from 374 Top Schools

I don't know how to make a link so that is the URl.

Oh never mind, the link was made for me.

Wouldn't a poor writing score on the SAT hurt you even if they don't care? I mean, do they even see it? (Just curiosity).

Kaplan as a source for Yale? No.

i would be surprised if they don't take the Writing Section into account (is Kaplan that reliable?), especially since after the new SAT, they dropped the 3rd SAT II requirement.

Well, perhaps they would view it as an SAT 2?

In the days of the old SAT's 3 SAT 2's were required and as I recall Writing needed to be one of them. To say they "don't care" is obviously wrong. Do they still use some formula that weighs the original 2 differently? That's anybody's guess.
