Does anybody know where I can get pics of Yale res. college dorms?

No pictures?

hmm, im sorta willing to go around tomorrow and take pix. but i dont think i can get inside the colleges. you'll have to settle for outsides, the colleges are closed for the summer. a lot of construction.

I stayed in Rosenfeld hall while I was there - hardwood floors, huge rooms, fireplace in the common area of our suite....about 4x larger than my bedroom at home :-|

What is the chance that a freshmen will get a single room all for himself?

Also, how are the rooms organized? I understand the common area and rooms around it, but can someone be much more descriptive? How big are the rooms in Old Campus? Are all beds bunked? What is the bathroom arangement? How is safety in regards to your personal stuff like laptops.

Rosenfeld is more so TD annex housing, not like normal Yale dorms.

Freshmen can get singles, but it's all up to chance. If you're in Durfee, the chances are good. But it's all random. Rooms on the OC vary from cramped LDub to big rooms in Vandy.
Of all the doubles I saw, they were all bunked.
Bathrooms tend to have 2 toilets, 2 showers, and 2 sinks and are shared by the floor (around 9 kids).

You can always watch Gilmore Girls

The Gilmore Girls are accurate representations, but it's all on a sound stage. That said, I think I could scrounge up some pictures from the admitted students website.

Here are some. Tell me if the link works or not...

link works but what dorms are the photos of?

wow. when i went on my visit to yale, the dorms did not look like that.......

Well, keep in mind that these dorms are some of the better ones at Yale. The pictures were designed to win prospective freshmen over.

It contains pictures of Swing Space (where I'll live next year), Berekeley, Farnam, and Pierson.
