Yale (EA) Chance

Why do you keep bumping? You have 3 pages of responses.

I think someone’s looking for a little validationn.

If you show in your essays what you really got out of your experience as a page, one that doesn’t seem typical or superficial, I’m sure you could leave a good impression on admissions.

Your stats make you mostly competitive, and if you’re counted as legacy it’ll probably give you a boost.

good luck!

Great job setting yourself up so well! You seem to really know what you want and you show a passion for something, which is fantastic. You look really really good on paper, make sure your essays stand out and you have a great shot! Best of luck!

Chance back?

Scores are on par, good and unique ECs. You should be a strong candidate!
Of course, consider some other schools just in case…since it’s Yale and all.

Yeah I would retake math because of the curve. Idk how you like USH, but maybe try that again since you’re specialty is government/history related. And great job on the page program. I was really interested in politics too. I think if you really emphasize the Congress thing, it could be a tipping factor.
CHANCE BACK =) http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1164754-chance-columbia-upenn-uchicago.html

That congressional page program seems quite interesting. Hopefully you’ll be the next president of the united states. lol

The congressional page program will def stand out and since it will make your application unique, will likely be your ticket in. The ivies are insane, as you probably know.

Also, I find that Yale likes favor students from some schools more than others. If a good number of students from your school get into Yale, consistently each year, then I think you have a better chance. Students at my school apply to Ivies a lot and Yale doesn’t accept many students if they accept any. Harvard takes more. Just an observation.

Chance back? =]

Those SATs are not low at all. I highly doubt that will tip your application, its more important that your school grades are high. As long as your SATs are in the ballpark (and you’re not applying to study engineering or maths) then they are fine. Focus more on making you’re ECs as unique as possible; there are plenty of students with 800s, not as many so interested in your particular activities. That is what will make you stand out, not you’re SATs!!!

Good luck! :)

p.s. how many people here are interested in politics and the environment? (who applied EA)
