Hello! My name is Ryan and I submitted my application to Yale on 10/30/2011, along with my supplements, payments, CSS, and what not. My transcript and recommendations were sent about a week before by mail. I received and went to an alumni interview around 11/8/11. After three weeks of not receiving my Eli account, I asked my alumni interviewer what I should do. He told me that the college office is probably piled under a lot of application to process and that I should wait a week or two longer. I am definitely planning to call on Monday since it has been a total of five weeks now. Should I be worried about anything? Thanks for reading this post and I appreciate your help guys.

Yeah, at this point I would recommend that you give the admissions office a call, if only to make sure that Yale has received your application in its entirety. I applied on the same day as you and got my Eli account a week later.

The only thing I can think of is that perhaps there’s some logistics problem related to a typo/incomplete materials.

I recommend searching your email for “Eli” and if it isn’t there, then definitely call them.

Try going to: https://fidelis.its.yale.edu/authenticate/ResetAccountWithEmail_eli-accounts.do. Enter your email address of record used on the Common App and press continue.

Yea, tried that and it says “The email address <a href="mailto:xxxxxxxxxx@live.com”>xxxxxxxxxx@live.com is not registered with an account."

Sorry, I guess you will need to call them Monday.

Thanks, but do you think I should worry?

I mean, not to be harsh, but worrying doesn’t really change anything, does it? Since you don’t know what’s up, you can only wait to call them Monday and let them tell you what’s going on. Until then I wouldn’t assume that anything negative has happened. Don’t let yourself worry - there’s nothing to be done 'til Monday.

Thanks a lot for the help. I wish everyone luck on their applications.

They should have at least part of your application, since you received an interview. Don’t worry too much. Make sure you call them, so you can confirm if they have all parts of your application. Also, look in your spam folder of your email account to make sure the email for your Eli account wasn’t counted as spam.

Yea I kept digging through all folders in my email from inbox to spam. You guys are great, I can’t say thanks enough.
