Yale Eli Whitney - 2013

I didn't see a thread, so I thought I would start one for everyone this year. I have applied, but I have not heard anything back yet. Any other applicants this year?

It’s strange because it seems as though there was no thread last year, either. I’m glad to see a thread for this year - the previous instances of these threads have been a wealth of information!

And to answer your question: Yes, I’ve applied this year.

I applied.

Did anybody get a call about the interview yet?

I got a call last week.

Springing, what did you put on your resume?

Nothing special, Butterfly. It was just the standard resume I use when applying for a job.

I hope I get the call as well :)

I think the process must take a bit of time. I got the call last week for an interview date almost 2 weeks out. They probably make calls over the duration of a few weeks; how many interviewers can they have? Also, I submitted my application quite early.
I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you Butterfly. Best of luck!

I wish you the best of luck too  when is your interview?

My interview is next week.

Got my rejection notice this morning.

I’m sorry to hear that, CelloDiego.

Has anyone else been to an interview or heard anything?

At least from the looks of it here, the applicant pool seems very small!

I’m not sure that’s a good thing :-)

Springing: How was your interview process? What were the questions like? Panel format?

UCWolv, Baldego, Butterfly: Hear anything regarding your application?

Cellodiego: best of luck with your other schools.

CCalifornia: The interview was simply a conversation and it lasted about an hour. The interviewer asked me a couple questions but for the most part our topics jumped around without direct questions - it was more like a natural conversation, less like a job interview. Because of this, the interview was far more comfortable than I had anticipated it would be. The interviewer started the conversation pointing out that he had read my application and essays and this quickly became evident based on the flow of our conversation. The questions he asked were clearly directed to my application.

ps. He gave me the opportunity to ask all my questions at the end of the interview and his answers were thoughtful and informative. He knows the program well.

Thanks Springing, best of luck to you! I’m thinking of applying next year :)

Any updates, springing?

I’m rooting for you.
