Oh. Haha. Thanks for reminding me. Sorry, no offense intended. I can’t edit it now.
I guess I could have said Jesus Christ help me I’m still working on the my second essay! Ha!
That’s okay. I bet it will feel good to finally submit it!
Awesome, my check list is all checked off!
Now the waiting game. Hope we all get in!
It feels like such a long wait. I hope it goes by fast.
I hope everyone feels good about there application. Maybe well all get interviews!
I can’t wait until they start calling for interviews. Wish it was sooner
I wonder how many people usually apply to Eli Whitney Program.
@IndirectProofs I think somewhere between 100-150 people
Oh wow. I expected way more than that. @norcalbusiness Where did you get the number?
I have heard that there is no cap for how many they can accept. If that’s true, it makes me feel good.
@realcheese - On their website it states: “In recent years, Yale has admitted between to 5 to 10 Eli Whitney candidates annually, reflecting an acceptance rate of below 10%.”
https://admissions.yale.edu/eli-whitney-students-program-admissions-application-instructions-forms - look under “admissions overview”
If they admit 10 people and that represents 10%, then thats 100 applicants. If 10 people reflects 5% then thats 200 applications. So I sort of averaged when I came up with 150.
I love how you made it into a math problem! Great answer!
Cool. I went to check out their website again and found it after you mentioned the range. I originally thought there would be at least 500+ applicants.
Hope these next few weeks go by fast.
@IndirectProofs They wont. lol. I really want to be optimistic but it feels as if time is slowing now that every application is in to every school.
It is very hard putting your future into someone else’s hands. Things are so uncertain.
Is anyone applying for any scholarships?
My last recommendation letter just turned in. I’m in constant mood swing now. LOL. One moment I feel like I have all the chances in the world, next moment I’m no chance at all.
Absolutely, @norcalbusiness All that I could. But it’s mostly for my current school tuition. Yale offers good financial aid that’s probably going to cover the tuition.
