I feel like the majority of people on here are probably totally trustworthy, but just to be safe, does anyone want to swap essays and edit? That way, I guess there's "security" or whatever for both of us, plus good feedback :) I'm applying to Yale EA, so if that puts anyone off I understand, but if anyone's interested, let's do it :)

Hey! I’d be willing to swap essays with you, so just PM me. Just warning you, though, mine’s a bit long (850+, was 1300+), so if you want to judge its cohesiveness and content instead of mechanics that’d be fine.

I’ll swap with you! pm me!

ill swap with you. i need opinions! PM me

Ill swap with you too! Just PM me

totally up for a swap! pm me =)

awesome! thanks all you guys I look forward to seeing yours too!

sent it! loved yours btw

the rest of you guys, do u wanna all read everybody’s? the more edits i can get the better =D

megavortex7, you responded to my thread and i already sent my to yours if i remember correctly

PM me if your up for it! =)

thanks melx! I’ve responded to everyone who sent me their’s so far, which is nearly everyone, I think. Anyways let’s keep this going, I think the feedback has been great so far!

It seems very dicey to send one’s carefully crafted essays around the internet. I’d advise against it.

tokdoc: normally I’d agree with you…but the College Essays section has been part of CC for so long that I do have some degree of trust in it. Besides, thats why there’s the swap thing- they have my essay, and I have theirs. Also since we’re all applying to Yale, it would be really dumb to use that essay since the adcoms could read two of the same and immediately get suspicious
But yes in general I agree… better safe than sorry :/
