Yale ever make mistakes!?

Ok, both my brother and I got into Yale...but I CANNOT believe it.

Does Yale EVER make a mistake sending online apps. My stats, etc. are subpar, and what not, like serioulsy subpar, and I am asian, whatever, no good ECs, etc. etc., but...apparently it is acceptance note online. Can it be? Do they make mistakes!

I think they messed up.

Don't get me wrong, I screamed for 30 minutes, but I cannot believe this is happending like seriously. MUST BE MISTAKE!

Does Yale ever mis send stuff online like decision letters?

if you don't mind me asking...
how subpar are your stats?

I checked his post history and here are the stats that he posted earlier:

* Other stats: ?

Subjective:

His stats aren't low at all.

Compared to Yale they are!

I mean how did i get in over someone with 3 pages of ECs, 2300+ SATs, 5's on AP tests, etc.

i don't know for Yale, your stats are low to me...i know someone that got deferred Early D with superior stats...did you have an interview?
maybe your essay wasn't as bad as you thought...
anyway...CONGRATULATIONS and my bet is it isn't a mistake so BE HAPPY!

Are your brothers stats like yours too? Because no offense...the admissions process is hectic...they might have seen the same last name and only meant to accept one of you? I dont know...that sounds unlikely too...either way that is so exciting!

You should contact Yale to see if they've made a mistake and sent the emails to the wrong person... I know much more deserving and better candidates than you that were rejected from yale today that deserve to be in their class of 2011.

oh my god i got accepted to i am his bro but how we got accepted i don't know

some viable reasons:
-first-generation, low-income, from bad public school
-immigrated from Vietnam to US (US citizen now)
-hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm well that's the most hookish I think that is

anti-hook: asian, blah blah

Yeah my brother got higher stats, like 2220 SAT and rank 2. So they made a mistake b/c of our names...

please bump

not necessarily.

i was just brainstorming. but you should probably call still just to make sure.

Congratulations to pagEL60, I hope that you will enjoy your time at Yale (if you choose to enroll there)

@ paulfoerster, sorry, but I doubt that you are in any position to judge whether he "deserves" to go to Yale or not. Obviously the admissions officers at Yale disagreed with you. Why can't you just be happy for him.

I think it's the 1st generation Vit, thing!

Congradulations GUYS~

Yeah it must be! ehh!!

why is first generation vietnam a big deal? lol, a lot of ppl have that
congrats though

wow. i don't think you should be worried. that's pretty darn fantastic.
congrats guys !! :)
