How long ago did you send the emails that they responded to??
I think I emailed them around mid-March!
If you haven’t received one even though you emailed them earlier than I did, don’t worry because the order in which colleges respond to emails seems pretty random. If you still have a missing material, that’s nothing to worry about either since they’ve probably just gotten started on the transfer admissions review process.
Great! Looks like they have started reviewing transfer applications. I haven’t received a response yet, but I hope to recieve one soon.
Thanks for telling me about it!
Sure, no problem! I believe they’re about done making decisions for first-years by now since they’re set to release them on coming Tuesday. So they should move onto (or may have already moved onto) transfers. Fingers crossed we all get in.
I got a response from them as well! They said that they will be downloading the documents in the coming weeks.
Best of luck for you rabbitcat and for everyone who is reading this!
Yay! For me, it was a missing material that they wanted me to send another copy of, and I did and got it all taken care of. Wonderful to see we’re inching closer to the decision day. Good luck to you!
Any idea when will we receive the interview invitation?
Is anyone else here an international transfer applicant?
I haven’t heard anything back about the interview thing, on the FAQ it says we get one on SlideRoom but I have no idea how we do it.
yes, I am UK transfer
Me too! From which uni?
I was invited for an interview by an AO today!! Wishing you all the same luck!!
I didn’t get an interview
Not all applicants get it. You only get it if there’s something in your application that they’d like to clarify or if you are on the borderline or for whatever reason that prompted them to want to meet you “in person” (virtually). While getting an interview from Yale is never a bad sign, you should remember there were plenty that got in without one. I wouldn’t stress too much over it! Also, they probably haven’t even started sending out most of the interviews; since most alum write-ups are due late-April (to be reviewed before the decision release in early-May), they’ll start sending out more interviews after mid-April if they want to. Since someone above got it, I think they’ve just gotten started.
Omg thank you soooo much. You really made me feel better. Bless you! I’m wishing you the best of luck in your transfer process!
Good luck! I really hope you nail the interview and get in eventually.
Sure thing! My friend, for one, got in without one. You may also receive one later this month. Even if you don’t, I wouldn’t worry about it at all. I’m sure you’re a wonderful applicant, so hang in there!
I think I got one because they want to clarify my military status. Don’t worry if you didn’t! You either will or can get in without it! Sorry about if I stressed anyone out
I think it means they’re seriously considering you. Good luck!
To clarify what I said above, I didn’t mean to say getting an interview means nothing whatsoever. It does mean they are considering you as they won’t give out interviews to random people if they aren’t interested AT ALL. (This only applies to their transfer admissions, however; they try to give as many interviews as possible for aspiring first-years and most of first-year applicants get rejected even after killer interviews.) And I’m sure you have an amazing, compelling narrative that prompted them to want to know more about you! It’s important for other transfer applicants who haven’t gotten one to remember, however, that not receiving one doesn’t mean anything and that they’ve just started reviewing transfer applications. Their freshmen pool received their decisions literally 3-4 days ago, and they will be giving out more interviews over the next few weeks. While it’s true what I said about lots of people getting in without receiving interview requests, I think it does and will increase your chances if you nail it when you do get it. So go get it, I’m sure you’ll nail it! Good luck!
