congrats on getting an interview!! would you mind sharing if you applied to the eli whitney program or just the general transfer program? congrats again!
Hi, thank you! I’m a regular transfer
did anyone else just get a standout interview offer?
Hi y’all! So I’m guessing we all probably should’ve received the StandOut interview requests by now. If you haven’t, you will soon (I’m saying this judging from the past year’s thread where most, if not all, got the optional recorded interview requests and only a few interviews with admissions officers when they wanted to know more). If you choose to submit it, you’ll do so well, so good luck!
Yes, I believe they give them out to all applicants!
Hey, did anyone get the stand out interview email? Just got it now.
^^^ above posts!
I got an interview
is the standout interview different from the AO interview someone said they got?
does anyone know what kinds of questions they ask in the standout interview?
Yes, it is different. StandOut interviews are virtual recorded interviews (you record videos to respond to interview questions) while some get actual interviews with admissions officers, which are given out for various reasons pertaining to their applications. StandOut interviews are given to everyone as an optional opportunity to talk more about themselves.
It’d be helpful to look at past threads, but I’m pretty sure they change questions every year since it kinda beats the point if they ask the same questions repeatedly. I think I heard there was no option to start over or re-record responses (it may have changed since then, but just to be sure), so be careful!
do we know when the deadline is to submit the standout interview? i checked the website and platform but i don’t think one is listed!
nvm haha just saw the email
Haha good luck!
standout or?
does anyone know when the standout video is due?
“StandOut interviews are due Tuesday, April 20 and are completely optional.”
Hey everyone! just got the interview for Yale, good luckk everyone!
