Hated my interview, nerves got the best of me I think. Plus it was really awkward just talking to a camera and not like live to a person but oh well…we’ll see how everything goes. There’s not much else to do now except to wait and see.
@nathaniel22 @Veeana and anyone else who did the SO interview, what questions did you end up getting?
has anyone else been given an interview with an AO since submitting their SO?
HI! I submitted my SO interview on Tuesday and received an AO interview today :^D
Congrats! Would you mind sharing your stats and if you’re non-traditional or traditional by chance?
Thank you! And sure :^)

Currently working to be published in ^^ academic journal
Ambassador in my CC’s advising department
wow, those are great stats and extracurriculars!
similar to above^ i submitted my SO interview on the day it was due (last tues?) and received an AO interview invite earlier today. it looks like they’re still slowly sending them out, so there is hope!
would you mind sharing your stats and ec’s with us? just curious thanks
is everyone receiving a stand out interview and an admissions interview or is it only given to a select group?
everyone is able to get the standout interview. only certain people get the AO interviews I hope my standout will be ok, I got it in at 12:00 midnight not 11:59 ;-;
@treeslinger9 , thanks so much for the info, I think you will be totally fine, as long as it is in within 24 hours of the due date its most likely ok because often colleges have to account for technical difficulties with wifi accessibility etc.
yea! gonna be kinda vague cos i’m scared lol but 4.0 at a T30 public school with a good amount of credits, HS GPA was a 3.89? and 1460 SAT with 11 APs (with 5 5’s) i’d be a sophomore at yale
ec’s include internships with multiple human rights/IR non profits and my congresswoman, a couple of writing positions (school’s foreign affairs magazine + online papers), and university-related activities (clubs, working with federal relations for my uni, honors student and on a selective scholarship at my current school). i have a girl scout gold award, 3 president’s volunteer service awards, and a few other national scholarships+titles.
i think the main thing pulling for me is that everything is tied in to my areas of interest in global affairs and I was very specific about what I want to study. i was also waitlisted as a first year if that has any pull in transfer admissions, but yea good luck to all cos this is stressful lol
I just got the AO interview but i cant tell if its a good or bad sign. maybe they are questioning why i would want to leave my current institution - tufts university.
Just a general question do they call or email you to schedule an AO interview?
When did you get the interview?
decisions are coming out on May 13th
for people who did the AO interview, did they ask you like two of the same q’s as the standout interview?
