I have tried to research this - the best I can come up with is that Yale last had an undefeated season in 1960.

Watch out though, as Harvard is 5-2, but 5-0 in the Ivy League.

One win away from an undefeated season after today's big win over Princeton.

This CC board should host a tailgate at the Game.

"One win away from an undefeated season after today's big win over Princeton."

And I'm lucky enough to be in New Haven next Saturday -- and a ticket waiting for me!

All former, current, and potential Yalies should be anxiously awaiting The Game. Both Harvard and Yale are undefeated so it should be a great day for football.

We will also be in New Haven tomorrow, tailgating, cheering, and waiting for the Bulldogs to crush Harvard.

What a way to start the Thanksgiving break!

See you T26E4 - I'm sure I'll recognize you! :0

The Game should be great - though technically Harvard isn't undefeated - they've lost a couple non-Ivy League games. I'm excited; it will be a great start to the week-long Thanksgiving Break.

watching it on hdnet :]

Oh no! :(

Not this year. Again.

I'm a Harvard parent, and though I'm pleased about yet another victory, I didn't come to gloat. I came to acknowledge and thank the Yale students for the hospitality they showed my daughter at the two games she attended at Yale during her four years at Harvard. She camped out on the dorm room floors of some Yale girls that they had been linked up with somehow, and she returned the favor to the Yalies when they traveled to the games in Cambridge.

I think The Game has a great spirit and a lot of good-natured trash talking on both sides is definitely part of the fun, but at the bottom of all that I'm pleased to observe a core of good manners and mutual respect.

The early word is that Swensen, from the endowment office, will be the next Yale football coach. This was much worst than 1968, and I was there for that one as well. The Yale team was not even competitive this year. Congrats to Tim Murphy, the Harvard coach, and all the Harvard players, especially the opera singing fullback.

Swensen's record versus Harvard is 16-7 (i.e., Yale has beaten Harvard 16 years out of 23 in terms of investment performance since Swensen started).

And that's much more important than any game - from what I can tell, the game is more about the festivities anyways, and Yale's record versus Harvard in that regard is about 100-0.

From 1872 to 1909, Yale outscored its opponents 9,814 to 545.

Coureur - I'm another Harvard parent. My daughter also came back last night with rave reviews about the Yale campus, hospitality and comraderie as well. Her a cappella group performed with a Yale group and crashed in their rooms Friday night. She had a blast.

I was at a sports bar in the Square last fall, seated behind the Harvard Rugby team, when a visitor walked in with friends, wearing a Yale Rugby shirt. After hooting and jeering and throwing cocktail napkins, a couple H guys went over, introduced themselves, brought the Yalie and his companions back to their table, bought them drinks and introduced them around. All rivalies should be like this one.

* can't believe Yale lost.....*

Poor exhibition of football by Yale. They didn't have a clue. Harvard dominated the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball.

Kudos to Harvard for a well-played game!

Yes congrats to the Cantabs. My first Yale Harvard game since '88 -- yeech!

At least I had a wonderful conversation w/a '71 alumna who was giving me the lowdown on inopportune remarks made by a current US Ambassador (another alum) at a party the night before! LOL

I think that game was summed up by the play where a Yale defender dropped what should have been an interception into the hands of a Harvard receiver who was lying on the ground a few feet away. Nothing went right for us.

We are still in a state of shock. We thought it would be a close game - Harvard has improved and Yale showed it was beatable in a couple of games - but there was no way anyone would have thought Yale would be demolished. It was absolutely painful to watch. We just wanted it to be over.

Maybe next year!

lol, when i come over to save the team?
