You're right, you shouldn't stand there and suffer abuse, you should walk away. You just walk away. You let it go. That's how you disengage people. Threatening to get people banned, accepting the fight, doing things like that... That's not effective, and it's not helpful to the basic point here. It undermines your very valid point that Yale Engineering can be a good thing.

In all sincerity and respect, though, I actually think you should spill your biography, so we can see where you're coming from. I think it's important to give your background and qualifications if you're going to be giving that many opinions. That's precisely why I've made a commitment to be an open book on here. I chat with CC'ers on AIM on a regular basis. People know my age, my work background, my academic background, my major, my career goals... Heck, y'all even know my medical history!

I think that giving one's background is a good-faith gesture. If your opinions are truly worth their salt, I think that giving your background will only reinforce your posts, and it would give a lot of people more respect and understanding of where your opinions are coming from.

I am perfectly willing to stack my engineering credentials against a guy who CLEARLY has far far less engineering knowledge and engineering credentials than I do. Just say when and where.

I am very close towards spilling my biography on this forum just to shut him up.

hahahahahahahahaha. go over to the SAT boards where some high schoolers will be in awe at your obviously formidable engineering background. and anyhow, i think you'll find some great friends there ;)

Why lord it over people as a threat? Just spill it and be done with it. No "nuking" required. If you're dying to do so, then just say. This is goofy.

Dude... cut the paranoia crap. You can't make claims about no one knowing your credentials if you won't post them. And, no, making people private message you to get them isn't the answer, either, because it suggests that you're trying to hide something.

Either post your background or quit griping that no one takes your opinion seriously. We've been over this. It's in your hands...

And DadofSam is special... because?
For such a highly educated and qualified engineer, you're acting awfully childish.

Hey, what can I say, the dude has pushed my buttons. I do not appreciate being challenged on my biography.

Besides, like I always said, you really want to know who I am? PM me.

And yeah, I am hiding something. Just like ariesathena is hiding something. Basically, we don't want anybody confronting us face-to-face about something we said here on CC. Is that so unreasonable?

Okay, first of all, this isn't the first time we've discussed this... one might assume (even from only these recent posts) that I'd like to know what your bio is. But I notice that you haven't voluntarily sent me a PM containing the details.

What? I have to beg you for it? You really like being the center of attention, huh? You must really enjoy this.
